Chef Justin Boswell is the owner and operator of Railway Cafe, which raised the bar in East Texas for fresh, local food. After more than a decade of successfully running the Cafe, he has adapted to the climate and spends his days catering private events and parties. Justin loves to support local farmers and will tell you he loves to cook simple, fresh food that makes people happy.
Highway 19 Produce and Berries is a family owned and operated farm established in 2010. We pride ourselves on providing local, organic produce. While Bobby was in college studying horticulture, he came home and said “I want to grow food.” So plans changed and Highway 19 Produce was established. The farm consists of 3 growing grounds. The focus is growing non GMO, chemical free produce and berries. Using only organic fertilizers including fish emulations, pasteurized chicken manure and compost teas. HWY19 products may not always look traditional, but an educated shopper knows the difference in local, vine ripe organically grown produce.
Attendees will pay a $25 ticket price. $20 of the ticket price will cover lunch, $5 of the price will go to the nonprofit GLM for organizing the event. Attendees will pay HWY19 for strawberries by weight after picking. You may sign up for the event HERE!
